Please read the instructions below carefully when using this upload tool for the first time:

Registration
Send the email with the files to be uploaded to: upload@pixum.com

The subject line of your e-mail HAS to contain the following:
[Pixum username]:(colon!)[4-digit PIN-code ]

Example: John:1234

Please note not to insert any spaces between your username, the colon, and your PIN code. Any deviation/change in the subject line (e.g. due to a virus scanner) will lead to a non-functioning upload.

By the way: If you are sending this email from the email address registered at Pixum, then you do not need to mention the username in the subject and you only have to mention the PIN. If username, PIN-number or colon are wrong, the email will be deleted automatically. You will then receive an email about this error.

Image format

The photos you want to upload, have to be attached to the email (as an attachment). ONLY photos in JPG-format with a maximum of 5 Megabyte* can be attached to the email. The photos can not the placed as an image in the HTML-text.

Per email you can only send a maximum of 30 photos or 10 Megabyte. Emails, that contain more than 30 photos or are larger than 10 MB, will be deleted automatically. You will then receive an email about this error.

 

 

 

Your personal PIN
First you HAVE to create a PIN** in your personal profile, for this please click on >My account< in the navigation bar and then on "My personal information".

You are able to change your PIN-code at any time in your personal profile. Your new PIN-code will be effective IMMEDIATELY. E-mails with a non-valid PIN-code will automatically be removed. You will be informed by email about this error.

 Upload
 The photos will be uploaded to your account once an hour. In other words: it can take up to one hour before the photos are placed into your inbox. You will receive a notification as soon as your photos are successfully transferred to your inbox. Please wait at least one hour, before contacting our support.

Storage
Your photos will stay in your inbox for a maximum of 21 days. After 21 days, your photos will automatically be deleted WITHOUT prior notification.

Pixum username
Your Pixum username is always shown in the top right corner, as soon as you are logged in. Please do not use your email address for this.

*Please note: The image files you would like to upload to Pixum, have to be larger than 50 KB and cannot be larger than 50 MB.

**Important: Only give your PIN to trustworthy people and do not publish your PIN anywhere. Anybody who has your personal PIN can send you (also undesired) photos.
